Responsibilities: Lead Pastor -- responsible for the faithful preaching and teaching of God's word, reaching out to the lost and equipping the saved
Family: Married to Jennifer for 46 years; 3 sons and daughters-in-law; 9 grandchildren and 1 on the way
Hometown: Painstivlle, KY; raised in Ashland, KY; lived in Lexington 10 years
Education and Experience: BS from Dallas Baptist University; MDiv from The Southern Seminary; pastor of 3 churches since 1972
Vision for my position: To be a good and faithful servant
What brought me to Journey: God's will (founding pastor)
Favorite movies/TV shows: Up, Monk
Favorite music/band: Music that touches my heart; genre is not important
Favorite book: "I Robot" by Issac Asimov and anything by Max Lucado
Hobbies/interests: bicycling, backpacking

Responsibilities: Family Ministry -- mostly children and youth, but this includes the entire family of Journey
Family: Lora and I have been married since March 10, 2007. We currently have Journey's children as our children
Hometown: Louisville, KY
Education and Experience: University of Louisville (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration), Southern Seminary (Master of Arts in Christian Education, emphasis in youth)
Vision for my position: Equip parents to share their faith with their children
What brought me to Journey: Our desire to reach people with the Gospel and our love for students

Favorite book: When God Calls Your Name, by John Ortberg
Hobbies/interests: I enjoy almost anything if it is with someone that I want to spend time. I especially enjoy basketball and University of Louisville sports

Responsibilities: Worship and Outreach Pastor – Lead the congregation to be a worshipping and inviting people that work with God to bless and redeem the community of Lexington
Family: Married to Jackie for 23 years. (She’s amazing) Dad to Catherine (15) and Emily (12). They are the world’s most amazing daughters. We also have a fluffy little Bichon named Cooper.
Hometown: Erlanger, KY
Education and Experience: Georgetown College and Southern Seminary
Served churches in Frankfort, KY, Cincinnati, OH, Lansdale, PA and Columbus, OH
Also work with the Kentucky Baptist Convention as a worship guyVision for my position: For the city of Lexington to celebrate Jesus with all of who they are. And to do that in a church somewhere. Ours would be great.
What brought me to Journey: A chance to be a servant leader in a church-launch environment

Responsibilities: Ministry Assistant
Family: Widow with 2 wonderful daughters, 5 super grandchildren and 1 GREAT grandson
Hometown: Divernon, IL but most of my life lived in Syracuse, IN
Education and Experience: High school and some other classes, worked at the Pentagon (top secret clearance--almost as important there as it is here), was secretary for attorneys, and for 17 years was the Cash Manager at CTB, Inc in Indiana. In Lexington I've worked at Michael's Craft's, the Sunshine Grow Shop, and was a "runner" for a law firm. Love being here at Journey now, especially getting to use my gifts and skills to build God's Kingdom.
Vision for my position: I love doing secretarial work and whatever else I can to make things flow smoothly and easily for our pastors
What brought me to Journey: God (through a conversation with my neighbor, Jim)
Favorite movies/TV shows: The Sound of Music, HGTV and Cooking channel
Favorite music/band: His Way II (my friends who are a Southern Gospel Quartet)
Favorite book: The Atlas, so I can plan my next trip
Hobbies/interests: Crafts, sewing, boating, being outdoors
Keyboards - Larry Crawford
Responsibilities: Keyboard player
Family: Ellen, my wife, is my inspiration. 3 step children: Taylor graduated high school and will be serving our country as part of the Army in August; Anna recently graduated from MIT and Katie is a physical therapist at UK hospital
Hometown: Grew up in West Virginia, but lived in Nicholasville for... ever.
Education and Experience: started playing piano in church at age 11, toured with the group "The Young Disciples," felt a call to be of service ever since. Currently I play with several bands: The MetroGnomes, Big City Groove, Bad Penny, and Delicate Flower. I also play for area high schools and UK musicians.
Vision for my position: Not real sure, but I want to do what's needed and listen to God about what else He wants me to do. I'm looking for what more I need to be doing.
What brought me to Journey: I needed a job; A couple of guys I looked up to were there, guys I knew I could use as role models
Favorite movie: Mozart and the Whale
Favorite book: Real Book I, Real Book II, Real Book III
Hobbies/interests: disc golf, wood burning, animal reserve
Nan Wash
Responsibilities: Custodian
Family: Married to Vernon for 42 years
Hometown: Bellevue, KY but lived in Lexington for 42 years
Education and Experience: a year of college, then worked in all kinds of places--as a secretary/receptionist, cashier, and mostly as a kindergarten assistant
Vision for my position: recycle, recycle, recycle
What brought me to Journey: As a member of Chevy Chase BC sensed God's call to Journey in a part of Lexington where there were no thriving churches
Favorite movies/TV shows: John Wayne movies, The Sound of Music

Favorite music/band: the old hymns; gospel

Hobbies/interests: counted cross stitch; yard work
